Job summary

Paul Mitchell The School Rapid City is seeking a Clinic Floor / Classroom Leader to educate and mentor Future Professionals in our clinic classroom. The role focuses on OBEs, mini classes, and learning centers to deliver outstanding guest service and technical training.

The ideal candidate has schooling and salon experience, holds or will pursue a South Dakota Cosmetology license, and is passionate about coaching, teamwork, and professional growth within our One Size Fits All culture.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate has education and salon experience, plus familiarity with Paul Mitchell products.
• Passion for educating, motivating, mentoring, and coaching Future Professionals in clinic systems.
• Strong communication, soft skills, professional development, and teamwork required.
• Training paid for Cosmetology Instructor License; after 12 hours, pass SDCC written test.
• Front Desk training provided until instructor license is obtained.
• Must hold a valid South Dakota Cosmetology license.

Clinic Classroom & Esthetics Classroom Learning Leader

Learning Leaders educate, motivate, mentor, and coach all Future Professionals in their technical and guest service skills and create extraordinary learning experiences in the clinic classroom using objective-based education (O.B.E.), mini classes, and learning centers.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have previous education and salon experience, as well as experience with Paul Mitchell products. He or she must have a passion for educating, motivating, mentoring, and coaching all Future Professionals and for inspiring and coaching Future Professionals in all clinic classroom systems. This position requires experience in positive and effective communication, soft skills, professional development skills, and teamwork.

Skills/Competencies Required:

• Experience with Textured Hair and Styling
• Experience instructing at a cosmetology school
• Current cosmetology, barbering, esthetic, or nail and instructor license
• Excellent organization, coaching, and communication skills
• Skills in supervision, teamwork, documentation, and return on investment
• Solid work history with verifiable references
• Passion for the beauty industry
• Honesty and professionalism
• Knowledge in Paul Mitchell Schools' cultural and technical systems is preferred

We will pay for your training to obtain your Cosmetology Instructor License, after 12 hours of approved training you will need to pass your SDCC instructor written test. Front Desk training will be provided until you receive your instructor license.

You must hold a valid South Dakota Cosmetology license.
