Job summary

Savannah Technical College seeks a full-time Cosmetology Instructor with an Esthetics specialization to join our college. You will teach the state approved Cosmetology/Esthetician curriculum, foster learning in classroom and lab settings, and evaluate student progress while maintaining documentation and safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Georgia Master Cosetologist or Esthetician license, have 3+ years of relevant experience, and can work days, nights, and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia Master Cosmetologist and/or Esthetician license in good standing.
• Three years full-time, paid work experience within the past seven years.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and Saturdays.
• Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Responsibilities

• Teach state approved Cosmetology and/or Esthetician curriculum to enrolled students.
• Foster effective learning in classroom and lab settings.
• Evaluate students’ progress toward goals and objectives.
• Ensure student learning outcomes are attained and properly recorded.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and administrative reports.
• Ensure safety and security requirements are met in classroom and lab.
• Retain students through graduation and assist with placement of graduates.
• Maintain rapport with business, industry, and the public sector.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Esthetician and/or Master Cosmetology program
