Primary Objective

This position models, teaches, coaches, develops, and retains Aveda students, preparing them to be first-choice professionals for market-leading salons. Graduates will demonstrate their ability to create guest experiences and provide services that meet or exceed Aveda Institute standards in technical skills, guest service, professional behaviors, and productivity.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute the Aveda Story Board, achieve learning objectives, and motivate students.
  • Teach and demonstrate technical skills in accordance with Aveda standards, including haircutting, coloring, nails, waxing, and makeup.
  • Evaluate and coach students daily to improve technical performance.
  • Teach guest service delivery, focusing on the "Aveda guest experience" and achieving benchmarks.
  • Foster professional behaviors through coaching on attendance, dress code, and conduct.
  • Guide students to meet productivity benchmarks, set goals, and perform at or above standards.
  • Participate in campus team activities, events, and training to ensure competency and enhance institute performance.
  • Maintain visual and operational standards of the classroom.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience behind the chair.
  • Cosmetology License in Florida.
  • Passionate about teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
