Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teach cosmetology courses including basic and advanced hairstyling, salon management, cosmetician science, nail technology, esthetics, instructor training, and fashion concepts.
• Model student expectations and professional behavior.
• Assist coordinator with salon retail operations, payments, deposits, and supply management.
• Enforce NC Board of Cosmetic Arts safety regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum improvements through assessments and development.
• Facilitate theory classes and safety and infection control instruction.
• Provide practical demonstration and instruction.
• Maintain student records (practice, grades, evaluations, attendance).
• Maintain a secure testing environment and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Travel to local high schools and community events to present the program.
• Facilitate high-school theory, practice, and evaluations.
• Evaluate student progress and support curriculum improvements.
• Assist with state board test instruction and mock testing.
• Ensure procedures follow evaluation plans.
