Job summary

Avlon is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control professional (Microbiologist/chemist) with 3+ years of cosmetics industry experience. The role focuses on preservative efficacy testing, raw material screening, cleanroom monitoring and rapid, compliant issue resolution.

Key duties include environmental monitoring, PET/USP testing, audit support, and maintaining compliant quality systems to protect consumer health and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Microbiology and/or Chemistry is required.
• 3-5 years in a laboratory QC/QA environment with focus on microbiology and environmental monitoring.
• Must understand QC/QA, cGMP, ISO, FDA, EPA and OSHA matters.

Responsibilities

• Environmental monitoring and water testing (TOC, microbial limits) and aseptic technique.
• Perform Preservative Efficacy Testing (PET/USP) and microbial limit testing.
• Manage environmental monitoring programs on manufacturing and filling lines.
