Job Overview

The Bloomingdale’s Cosmetics Beauty Sales Colleague is an expert capable of providing excellent service and selling our assortment both in-store and online. The primary focus is to build and maintain client relationships by offering outstanding service and product knowledge, while maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. Responsibilities include providing make-up application lessons, skin care consultations, trend advice, and delivering the Bloomingdale’s Customer Experience Framework through engaging conversations. The role involves active circulation across departments, supporting operational excellence, and assisting wherever needed to enhance the customer experience.

Essential Functions
  1. Connect with customers quickly and build trust both online and in-store.
  2. Be an expert on products and styles, confidently building each sale.
  3. Utilize styling and selling technology to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
  4. Use outreach tools to build relationships and inspire repeat purchases.
  5. Manage customer interactions flexibly across multiple online platforms.
  6. Sell the Bloomingdale's Loyalist program effectively.
  7. Maintain positive relationships within the company.
  8. Create a seamless and engaging in-store and online experience for customers.
  9. Drive sales through proficiency with technology and customer engagement.
  10. Participate in merchandising and operational tasks as required.
Qualifications and Competencies
Education Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
  • 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
