Job summary

Sono Bello is seeking qualified candidates for a surgical support role based in McLean, VA. This position offers a regular schedule with no night shifts or holiday work and a chance to contribute to a patient-focused aesthetic practice.

You will assist in all stages of the surgical process, ensure sterile environments, educate patients, and support post-operative care and follow-up. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience with sterile technique and handling surgical instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow labeling and safety standards.
• Proficient written and verbal communication; basic report writing.
• Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Able to interpret written, diagrammatic and verbal instructions.
• Basic math proficiency.
• Experience in patient care and collaboration with physicians and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Support the full surgical experience: pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and the operating room for procedures.
• Assist the physician during procedures as needed.
• Verify correct patient, procedure, and surgical site in the OR.
• Ensure all medications and solutions are clearly labeled.
• Maintain a sterile environment and clean/disinfect instruments and rooms.
• Educate patients and caregivers on procedures, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Support patient discharge and follow-up calls.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and audit patient records.
