The European office of a Japanese manufacturing company is seeking an Application Specialist to support the development of innovative cosmetic applications using cutting-edge materials. The role requires expertise in cosmetic formulation and strong communication skills to engage with clients.

Details:

  • Type: B2B Contract / Interim (Project-based)
  • Working hours: Approximately 5 hours per week
  • Salary: Depending on experience
  • Start: ASAP

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop formulations such as creams, emulsions, and lotions using innovative cosmetic materials.
  2. Showcase the efficacy and uniqueness of materials by creating demonstration prototypes for clients.
  3. Collaborate with the sales team to propose tailored solutions to cosmetic manufacturers.
  4. Understand trends in the cosmetics industry and develop formulations aligned with those trends.
  5. Conduct product evaluations to highlight differences between formulations with and without the company's materials.
  6. Liaise with R&D teams in Japan to align product development strategies.
  7. Present technical information and product benefits in client meetings or workshops.

Ideal Candidate:

  • More than 10 years of experience in cosmetic formulation.
  • Knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, particularly those used in sunscreens and skincare, and their application across various formulations.
  • Business-level English proficiency.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
