Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME is seeking a dentist to manage the full clinical patient experience from exam to delivery of care. In-office services include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics; a strong production-based compensation model supports a high earning potential.

The practice emphasizes restorative and aesthetic dentistry with a flexible schedule (full-time or part-time) and a modern, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from a university-based dental education program accredited by the ADA CODA.
• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases and educate patients on treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients and maintain records.
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures on teeth, bone and soft tissues.
• Maintain the highest standard of care, ethics, and professionalism.
• Keep up with new developments and continuing education.
