Overnight Stocker

Position Objective: To assist customers in their shopping experience by properly stocking shelves and displays in an efficient, friendly, and courteous manner.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Night Manager.

Status: Non-exempt position.

Knowledge

The following are requirements for this position:

• Completion of ongoing training as listed on Cosentino’s Learning Plan.

Skills

Basic skills required include:

• Implementing Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.
• Unloading, sorting, and stocking shipments without damage.
• Maintaining neat back room and cooler/freezer areas.
• Stocking shelves accurately using UPC codes and face front display method.
• Supporting inventory counts and recording merchandise.
• Monitoring products for damage and handling damage claims.
• Operating and maintaining equipment safely.
• Meeting productivity standards.
• Rotating products based on expiration dates.
• Keeping work areas clean and safe.
• Following health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Exhibiting strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Using basic math and reading skills.

Non-Essential Job Functions

• Knowing department items, procedures, and policies to assist customers.
• Handling customer complaints professionally.
• Completing additional tasks as assigned and supporting other store departments.

Physical Abilities

Employees should be able to perform the following:

• Reaching overhead, twisting, lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling carts and pallet jacks up to 75 lbs.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, squatting, working in cold environments.

Additional Physical Capabilities

• Climbing ladders up to 15 ft.
