Job summary

Topaz HR is seeking a Corrugate Lead to oversee daily operations in the corrugating department. This hands-on leadership role supports production staff, coordinates workflow, performs setups, troubleshoots equipment, and drives safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidate has experience with corrugating or converting equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and proven leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. On-site role with focus on uptime and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience operating corrugating or converting equipment.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders and specs.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to product quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of corrugate production employees during assigned shifts.
• Set up corrugating equipment according to job specs and production requirements.
• Review production orders to ensure materials and resources are available.
• Operate and monitor corrugating equipment to maintain safe, efficient production.
• Make machine adjustments for quality, dimensions, scoring, cutting, and glue.
• Troubleshoot routine equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform minor repairs and report larger maintenance concerns.
• Monitor speeds, waste, downtime, and overall machine performance.
• Coordinate changeovers and maintain an efficient production schedule.
• Inspect finished products for customer specs and quality standards.
• Identify quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Complete production reports and operational records accurately.
• Train and support new employees on equipment operation and safety.
• Assign work, prioritize tasks, and provide day-to-day direction.
• Promote a safe, productive, professional work environment.
• Communicate needs and issues to supervisors; keep area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and management to meet goals.
