Job summary

Golden West Packaging Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the corrugated production floor, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. You will oversee the BHS Corrugator, ensure adherence to specifications, and drive continuous improvements with cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires strong leadership, Lean/Six Sigma mindset, and the ability to train operators while achieving KPI targets in a fast-paced, high-volume plant.

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of supervising manufacturing operations with a large employee base, in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Lean mentality, a focus on quality, and a track record of continuous safety, quality, and process improvements.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing production teams.
  • Strong aptitude in diagnosing and taking corrective action to drive machine efficiency and production processes.
  • Highly organized, self-starter with excellent cross-functional collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to drive operational performance through data-driven decisions and KPIs.
  • Bachelor of Science preferred; equivalent corrugated machine operation and people leadership experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the production facility employees and operations of the BHS Corrugator, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate product specifications and production goals clearly; maintain safe, efficient, high-quality operations.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities and implement corrective actions; troubleshoot critical issues and downtime.
  • Perform root cause analyses with cross-functional teams to implement lasting improvements.
  • Lead training programs across corrugated stations and operating standards.

This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, communication is properly flowing through machine centers, efficiency opportunities are identified and executed, scheduled operational demands are met, and any critical issues are both relayed and troubleshooted.What You’ll DoSafety - Leads, promotes, and practices safety awareness and proper use equipment all employees associated with the assigned corrugator. Ensures employees wear protective equipment and training is completed prior to job assignments. Actively identifies, reports, and eliminates hazards.People – Directs employment decision of shifts, including hiring, re-assignment, promotion, discipline, and termination of employees.Culture – Creates and sustains a culture of relentless pursuit of continuous improvement and business excellence. The pay range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 annually. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.What You’ll NeedStrong working knowledge of supervising manufacturing operations with a large employee base, in a fast-paced, high volume custom fabrication or relevant industrial manufacturing environment.Lean mentality, a focus on quality, and a proven track record of identifying and contributing to the implementation of continuous safety, quality, and process improvements.
