Job summary

UFP Industries seeks a Corrugated Specialist to source and procure corrugated products, working with buyers, operations, and sales from multiple facilities. You will collaborate with external vendors to develop solutions that cannot be produced internally.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years in corrugated product distribution, manufacturing, sales, and/or design. Proficiency with MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Monitors packaging trends, customer requirements, new technologies, and relevant industry regulations.
• Provides input on corrugated designs, material selection, and board grades to optimize performance and meet customer needs.
• Lead corrugated projects through production to delivery, coordinating with external vendors to meet customer expectations.
• Identify cost-out opportunities and alternative designs.
• Determine appropriate manufacturing and sourcing options for products.
• Technical guidance to align product execution with customer-use expectations.
• Provides technical information for customer service team, sales teams, and other parties.
• Coordinate quality-control procedures for new and existing corrugated products.
• Customer-use assessments and audits, as needed, confirming solution aligns with specifications and expectations.
• Vet opportunities and new sources for quality and performance.
