Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a dedicated manufacturing operator to assist with the setup and operation of corrugated box equipment according to customer specs. You will help maintain productivity, safety, and quality, while adhering to procedures and housekeeping rules.

Responsibilities include performing essential machine setup tasks, conducting quality checks, and ensuring a safe work environment. Daily overtime and weekend work are required, with starting pay of $20.83/hour and shift

Qualifications

• Must read and follow safety rules and operating instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and move throughout shift.
• Willing to work daily overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist setup and operation of corrugated box equipment.
• Operate equipment to maintain productivity and quality.
• Follow directions and use power tools and safety devices.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Perform quality checks on first piece and in-run inspections.
• Communicate safety and repair needs to supervision.
