Job summary

US DISPLAY GROUP INC is seeking a Converting Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in Dover, DE. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, quality, and cost control across daily operations, with budgetary responsibility for the Production department.

The candidate will supervise 2–30 staff, coordinate with maintenance, and drive improvements while upholding union contracts and safety programs. Four years of supervisory experience preferred; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible operations leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing a group of employees or project team.
• Strong safety, operations and business background.
• Financial and process acumen; results-driven; strong communications skills.
• Background in corrugated, paper or similar manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management; communicate standards to staff.
• Report quality concerns to Converting Superintendent; assist in determining quality guidelines.
• Maintain high morale; ensure fairness, confidentiality; address employee problems.
• Maintain inventories of sheets, inks, and converting supplies.
• Coordinate with supervisor and Maintenance on repairs or preventive maintenance.
• Keep upper management informed of problems affecting department performance.
• Enforce corrective action procedures; conduct meetings with employees and union representatives.
• Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings with department personnel.
• Communicate with necessary supervision to avoid shift-change problems.
• Improve career skills via seminars, courses, and related college courses.
• Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures.
