Job Summary

Perform basic field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures. Recommend troubleshooting tests and identify when such testing is required.

Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
  • Work independently, make field decisions without direct supervision and be responsible for obtaining field data to determine condition of structures under evaluation.
  • Compile and submit field data for senior staff review.
  • Be familiar with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects.
  • Estimate duration for both engineering and construction projects.
  • Organize and perform multiple small projects simultaneously.
  • Develop test procedures for complex troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • 0-3 years experience in corrosion control industry particularly related to cathodic protection work.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for government contracts.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current certification with AMPP Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1).
  • In lieu of NACE Certification, an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology is required.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with team members, clients, and management.
  • Ability/willingness to travel as required.
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk on uneven ground, climb ladders or work at heights, work in tight spaces, lift up to 60 pounds, and work in all weather conditions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position may require significant time standing or walking on uneven ground, climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various weather conditions.
