As a Corrections Water Treatment Plant Foreman, you will operate, maintain, and repair pumps, valves, chlorinators, chemical feeders, compressors, laboratory equipment, and computer monitoring systems to effectively support the ongoing operation of a 1.2 million gallon capacity water treatment plant. This includes performing daily laboratory testing, checking equipment calibration, and adjusting chemical dosages required for normal plant operations. This role requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships that allow inmates to learn the standard principles and practices used in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant, while ensuring all Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regulations are met. You will also monitor gauges, meters, and sensing devices; update tool and toxic supply inventory records; and oversee inmates performing janitorial work.
