Job summary

VetJobs is seeking a Warehouse/Commissary Worker to join a secure, institutional setting. The role involves handling stock, supervising inmate workers, and processing commissary transactions, with emphasis on inventory control and safety.

One year of warehouse/commissary operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive, store and inventory stock, supplies and equipment for the commissary and facility operations.
Direct and supervise inmate/resident workers as part of the warehouse team.
Process commissary sales transactions and inmate order forms.
Prepare materials for shipment and maintain accurate records and inventories.
Ensure sanitation standards and security procedures are followed.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain orderly storage areas.
Assist with data entry and reporting as required.
Escort inmates/residents as needed and coordinate movement of workers between areas.
