Job summary

131 DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS is seeking a Correctional Training Officer for an on-site role in Professional Development at the Great Plains Correctional Center. You will conduct training, develop curriculum, and evaluate staff learning needs to improve performance and security across facilities and regions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in training, adult education, or correctional security.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and methods of employee training and adult education.

• Familiarity with equipment used in adult education and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Conducts job analyses and assessments to evaluate training needs and develops curriculum.
• Delivers classroom training, workshops or seminars to enhance employee skills.
• Prepares training reports and maintains participant records.
• Schedules and coordinates training sessions and locations.
• Supervises other training officers in planning and delivering programs.
• Manages contracts with service providers.
