Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) at the Gadsden Correctional Facility in Quincy, FL is seeking a full-time supervisor to oversee correctional officers and ensure custody and discipline in compliance with ACA, FDOC, and DMS directives. Reports to the designated lieutenant and enforces safety and security protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma with two years in an adult correctional environment and preferred supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience in an adult correctional environment or related field.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, protect, instruct, train, counsel and evaluate assigned employees.
• Provide for the care, custody, and adherence to rules and regulations of inmates.
• Supervise custody and security of inmates including observation during work duties.
• Direct searches for contraband including pat and strip searches.
• Transfer and transport inmates and restrain assaultive inmates as needed.
• Review inmate records related to health, safety and security with other staff.
• Maintain records, forms and reports and supervise related duties.
• Respond to emergencies, administer first aid and use force as needed.
