Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring educators at the Gadsden Correctional Facility in Quincy, FL. The role involves delivering instructional programs to inmates, aligning with ACA, CEA, and state directives, and fostering positive behavioral outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
• Valid Florida teaching certificate or comparable authority required.
• A valid Florida driver's license with acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction to inmates in accordance with approved curricula.
• Provide inmates with basic direction in compliance with ACA, CEA, MTC, FDOC and DMS directives.
• Deliver competency-based instruction through classroom and lab management.
• Develop performance objectives and criterion-referenced tests.
• Review and adapt instructional materials to reach mastery of competencies.
• Plan activities to initiate budget requests for equipment, supplies and materials.
• Monitor motivation, discipline and learning difficulties.
• Evaluate and maintain records of inmate progress toward objectives.
• Execute all applicable forms to adhere to facility procedures.
• Promote positive social skills and appropriate behaviors.
• Maintain accountability of inmates and property; adhere to safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
