Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing.
• Must possess current licensure in the state of employment.
• One year of professional nursing experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age of 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inmates/residents in a correctional setting.
• Attend sick calls with the physician and prepare examination lists and rooms.
• Assess illnesses or injuries and refer to ER or appropriate facilities as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures and notify provider for treatment orders.
• Guide and supervise licensed and non-licensed nursing staff.
