Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC in Newark, NJ seeks Registered Nurses to deliver direct care to inmate patients using nursing assessment protocols across assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. RNs collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care in a corrections setting and maintain professional standards.

The shifts are 8 hours, 2 pm–10:30 pm with rotating weekends, requiring flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Must conform to the security standards of the institution where employed.
• Must be Hands-On CPR certified.
• May be required to work nights, weekend, and holidays
• On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice).

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments of inmate patient in a variety of settings within the institution.
• Collaborates with primary care providers to ensure continuity and appropriate care.
• Coordinates and administers medication and treatments to inmate patients.
• Maintains competency with current standards of practice and infection control policies.
• Provides inmate patient education and/or discharge planning.
• Records all care information accurately and timely.
