Job summary

ATC Healthcare Services seeks an experienced RN for an opening at Duane Waters Correctional Hospital in Jackson, MI. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, medication administration, and care coordination for inmates in a correctional setting.

The role requires an active RN/PN license, at least one year of experience, and compliance with HIPAA and health/safety protocols. Shifts are 6p-6:30a with pay at $64 hourly.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program of nursing (RN or PN) as required by the contract.
• Active, current nursing license in the state of practice.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Background screening as required by the contract.
• CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• TB screening and possible 2-step TB test per contract.
• Drug screening as required by the contract.

Responsibilities

• Complies with ATC Healthcare Services policies and procedures.
• Complies with client policies and procedures.
• Maintain records, prepare reports and correspondences.
• Complete nursing assessments.
• Refer individuals to medical for evaluation as needed.
• Dispense medications and monitor compliance.
• Support FDA-approved medications for opiate use disorder.
• Communicate verbally and in writing and use an electronic record.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Provide patient care without discrimination, respecting autonomy and dignity.
• Care coordination for inmates within the correctional facility.
