Qualifications

Requires active PA RN license.
If within 60 days of graduation from an approved school, applicant may apply.
Must show proof of current PA temporary practice permit or PA RN license at appointment.

Responsibilities

Health Assessments: conduct physical assessments and nursing diagnoses.
Medication Support: administer medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
Treatment Delivery: provide ordered treatments and assist with examinations.
Record Keeping: update electronic health records and prepare transfer documentation.
Education and Guidance: teach health practices to staff and offenders.
Operational Compliance: ensure infection control and quality procedures and be ready for inspections.
