Job summary

Qualifications

• 24 semester hours of coursework in behavioral or social sciences required (see 24-hour rule).
• Courses may include sociology, correctional administration, criminal justice, psychology, social work.
• Evaluation of education may count related courses toward the 24 hours.
• Evaluation of experience must be in casework, counseling, or social rehabilitation settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in case management services.
• Assist in collecting, verifying, and analyzing information for social histories.
• Assist in determining inmate needs and program goals and monitor progress.
• Assist in writing correspondence and responses to Attorneys, Judges, and other officials.
