Qualifications

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA, is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass background investigation and CJIS compliance; medical, psychological evaluation, and urinalysis screening required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with inmates and visitors in direct and indirect situations.
• Monitor inmate movement and activities to maintain security.
• Perform rounds, head counts, security checks, and report unusual situations.
• Full-time schedule; 40-hour week, shifts across all areas, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Participate in formal instruction in sociology, psychology, court procedures, and custodial duties.
• Prepare detailed reports and respond quickly to emergencies.
