Job summary

Ara Poutama Aotearoa is seeking Corrections Officers to work in a challenging environment, supervising individuals in Prison and supporting their daily routines and safety. The role involves engaging with people and whānau, with opportunities to influence outcomes through interactions.

Responsibilities

Supervise prisoners within unit(s) during daily routines.
Escort residents to education programmes and appointments.
Monitor and assess behaviour, de‑escalate conflicts and maintain safety.
Support overall safety and wellbeing of staff and inmates through collaboration.
