Job summary

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
Must complete training from the Pennsylvania State Correction Academy to become DOC Certified.
Criminal background check required.
Drug and alcohol screening required.
Reference check required.

Responsibilities

Enforce jail rules and maintain safety and security; escort inmates as needed.
Process incoming inmates, conduct searches, and prepare intake records.
Monitor inmate activities and perform headcounts; coordinate meals and housing.
Respond to inmate needs and inquiries; provide information to inmates, staff, and the public.
Assist with medical alerts, transport to appointments, and emergency procedures.
Attend trainings and shift briefings to stay updated on policies.
