Job summary

State of Alaska's Anchorage Correctional Complex is recruiting for multiple Correctional Officer 1 positions in Anchorage, Alaska. This role begins with 12-14 months of structured field training and a seven-week Correctional Officer Academy, with a promotion to Correctional Officer 2 after certification.

You will work an 84-hour week on a rotating day/night schedule with a week on/week off pattern, and starting salary is up to $33.81 per hour, with relocation incentives possible and a strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Be 21+ years old and a U.S. citizen or national.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Requires thorough background check, drug screening, psychological evaluation and medical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and safety within the facility and supervise inmates.
• Complete 12-14 months of field training and attend the Correctional Officer Academy.
• Contribute to rehabilitation programs and public safety initiatives.
