Job summary

Quality Correctional Health Care is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to provide on-site NP services to inmates at Putnam County facilities. You will direct medical orders, document encounters, and participate in QA and staff education.

Collaboration with jail administration and off-site providers is required. The role requires a Master's in Nursing, an active CRNP license, and 1–3 years of NP experience, preferably in corrections.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Must have current and valid CRNP license.
• Must have current, unencumbered license in the state of practice.
• 1–3 years of NP experience preferred.
• Experience working in corrections preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurse practitioner services on-site to inmates at QCHC facilities.
• Give appropriate medical orders to direct medical and nursing care provided by QCHC nursing staff.
• Document all clinical encounters in the medical record.
• Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and staff education activities.
• Coordinate and communicate with jail administration as necessary.
• Participate in meetings with jail administration, sheriffs, and/or other county officials; coordinate with off-site providers as necessary.
