Job summary

Osceola County Government is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to provide essential medical care within a correctional facility. You will administer medications, monitor inmates, perform wound care and IV therapy, and document care in the electronic medical record while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license required.
• Associates degree in nursing or related field from an accredited college/university.
• Current CPR certification from AHA/ARC/ASHI is required (online CPR not accepted).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inmates in a correctional facility.
• Administer medications and treatments per records and policies.
• Record and organize medical data in EMR and related logs.
• Monitor vital signs, perform wound care, IV therapy, and specimen collection.
• Refer to appropriate medical facilities when advanced care is needed.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
