Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in laying brick, blocks, and other building materials with mortar.
• Completion of an approved masonry trade apprenticeship.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including one year of journey level masonry work.

Responsibilities

• Teach masonry practices in classroom and hands-on settings.
• Direct inmate work crews and review masonry work.
• Track inmate progress and attendance for training activities.
• Issue, inventory, and account for tools and materials used in training and projects.
• Determine materials needed for masonry tasks and submit purchase requests.
• Conduct safety enforcement and ensure secure handling of tools and materials.
