As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman with the Department of Corrections (DOC), you will oversee inmate work crews tasked with routine construction and maintenance activities within the correctional facility. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of assignments, including lawn care, snow removal, janitorial services, and general maintenance. You will oversee planning and assigning daily schedules for inmates, as well as inspecting the quality of completed work. Additionally, you will manage the issuance and inventory of all materials and tools necessary for these tasks. Occasionally, you may also engage in or assist with semi-skilled and skilled work across various trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, refrigeration, masonry, steam-fitting, or welding.
