Job summary

The Travis County Sheriff's Office is hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses to deliver quality medical services in a correctional setting in Austin and Del Valle, TX. You will work under supervision, providing routine patient care, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and documentation within secure facilities.

Applicants must complete an accredited LVN program and have at least 1 year of LVN experience, with a Texas LVN license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program and one year LVN experience.
Current Texas LVN license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Respond to patients' medical needs and provide or arrange treatment per protocol.
Consult with clinical and administrative staff on patient health care issues.
Assess emergent illnesses and injuries and provide direct health care including wound care and meds administration.
Document patient condition and maintain medical files; perform administrative duties as needed.
Inventory medications daily and assist in dental, STD, and clinic settings.
