Job summary

State of Oklahoma's Jackie Brannon Correctional Center/Medical is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to perform technical nursing care in a correctional health setting. This on-site role involves taking vital signs, administering medications, and contributing to a care plan under supervision.

Level I–II responsibilities include supervising medication administration on a unit as needed, providing nursing care, teaching basic nursing skills, and ensuring infection control and patient status

Qualifications

• Valid permanent Oklahoma LPN license as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
• One year of practical nursing experience preferred.
• eNLC recognized license acceptable for employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical nursing tasks under supervision and direction of a RN/physician.
• Administer medications as ordered and monitor patient responses.
• Supervise staff during medication administration as Charge Nurse when assigned.
