Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse for placement in Columbia, KY. This contract–full time role pays $35 per hour, with a 36-hour work week, in the Medical and Ambulatory section of a corrections facility, providing general and emergency nursing care while upholding security standards.

Minimum requirements include a current Practical Nursing License in the state, CPR if applicable, TB screening or chest X-ray, a health certificate, and at least 18 years

Qualifications

Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
Current CPR if applicable.
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.
