The WEC Detention Facility is seeking a transformational leader who brings performance-based management skills, a commitment to servant leadership, and the drive to inspire a culture of trust, creativity and commitment to the critical work of this agency and those it serves.

Minimum Qualifications: Post-high school coursework/training in Criminal Justice or related Behavioral field and three years of progressively responsible corrections experience. Experience or coursework/training in supervision and leadership. Must be able to legally possess firearms and ammunition. No felony or domestic abuse related convictions.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of supervisory experience. Experience using Kronos, or other electronic timekeeping system, in a supervisory capacity. Experience working for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.
Other: Must have a valid driver's license. Successful completion of background check. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order: medical exam, and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program.
