Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee correctional staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
• Ensure safety and security by conducting regular security checks, monitoring inmate activities, and responding to emergencies.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain order and discipline within the institution.
• Coordinate and supervise the movement and daily activities of inmates, including meals, work schedules, and transportation to various locations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reports on inmate behavior, incidents, and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct inmate searches and inspections of living areas to prevent contraband and ensure compliance with facility rules.
• Provide guidance and support to correctional staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
• Attend meetings and briefings to discuss security issues, incidents, and operational updates.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to enhance public safety and inmate rehabilitation.
