Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook for its Las Cruces, NM location within the correctional division. You will join a fast-paced kitchen team, preparing and serving high-quality meals while adhering to recipes and safety standards.

The role emphasizes scratch cooking, precise portion control, creative presentation, and proper food storage. Onsite work with a strong focus on teamwork and delivering consistent meals to inmates and staff.

Qualifications

• At least one year's prior culinary experience in a quality, high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools and differentiate food items.
• Customer service experience is required.
