Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern Rockies in Gillette, Wyoming is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to perform food service duties in a residential community corrections facility, following state health standards.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• ServSafe certification (if not certified, training will be provided).
• At least two years experience as a Cook in a commercial setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals for residents.
• Receive and store all food deliveries.
• Maintain inventory of kitchen stock supplies and notify Kitchen Manager of reordering needs.
• Record refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
• Ensure Kitchen and Dining Room are clean and meet sanitation and safety regulations.
• Document and submit reports regarding resident behaviors/incidents.
• Wash dishes.
• Other duties as assigned.
