Job summary

The Bureau of Prisons is seeking corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.

To be considered for the position, applicants must meet the following qualification requirements, including one-year specialized experience or qualifying education, and the Selective Placement Factor requiring completion of programs such as nursing assistant, medical assistant, pharmacy technician,

Qualifications

• One-year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
• Education: Nine semester hours or 13.5 quarter hours of graduate education in the related field.
• Experience in maintaining accurate inventories of all needles, syringes and controlled substances.
• Experience in preparing medications for Pharmacist review and placing automated medication orders.
• Experience in reporting and recording adverse medication reactions.
• Experience in administering medications (i.e. sublingual, buccal, eye, ear, nasal, topical, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous).
