Qualifications

One-year specialized experience equivalent in difficulty to the next lower grade level; includes support duties to medical/health personnel.
Education: Nine semester hours or 13.5 quarter hours of graduate education in the related field.
Graduate education or internship meets the specialized experience only if directly related to the work.
Examples of qualifying experience include inventories of needles/syringes/substances; preparing medications for pharmacist review; reporting adverse reactions; administering medications.

Responsibilities

Maintaining accurate inventories of needles, syringes and controlled substances.
Preparing medications for Pharmacist review and placing automated medication orders.
Reporting and recording adverse medication reactions.
Administering medications (sublingual, buccal, eye, ear, nasal, topical, IM, subcutaneous, IV).
