Responsibilities

• Coordinate storage, maintenance, retrieval, retention and release of health information for inmates.
• Prepare reports by researching sources, ensuring accuracy, and summarizing findings for administration and licensing agencies.
• Participate in committees to develop health information policies and procedures; maintain medical/clinical records and filing systems; purge records as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and control access to records; release information with proper consent or court orders; prepare summaries, indexes and registers.
• Coordinate medical appointments with the agency Transportation division and support quality improvement audits and data collection.
