Job summary

Villa Feliciana Medical Complex is seeking a Corrections Guard Therapeutic to join the security team in Jackson, Louisiana. Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a forensic, behavioral, correctional, or penal institution with responsibility for the security, custody, clinical care or rehabilitation of offenders.

Responsibilities

• Checking identification of persons seeking access to the facility, providing direction, information and assistance in a helpful and tactful manner
• Following facility policies in controlling and preventing contraband on facility grounds
• Performing security checks of facility grounds, all buildings and parking lots periodically, referring problems to proper authority
• Answering the Villa Feliciana Medical Complex main phone line and transferring or directing all calls
• Transporting residents to appointments
• Responding to security calls when necessary
• Performing other related duties in order to maintain smooth operation of the facility

The Corrections Guard Therapeutic plays a key role in the smooth operation of the security department. This position works closely with residents and employees. Assisting each with different tasks on a daily basis.

Six months of experience in a forensic, behavioral, correctional, or penal institution with responsibility for the security, custody, clinical care or rehabilitation of offenders.

Necessary Special Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.


• An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.
