The Corrections Food Service Worker supervises inmates in a correctional kitchen environment, ensuring that meal and food items are prepared in accordance with production plans. In this role, you will train workers in methods of performing duties, as well as assign and coordinate work to promote the efficiency of operations. This person is also responsible for the sanitation of the facility and maintaining personal safety, by conforming to all standards and regulations. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.
Prior food service experience is required. Prior corrections experience is strongly preferred.
Shifts: 2 AM to 10 AM and 10 AM to 6 PM. This is a 7-day-per-week, 365-day-per-year operation with variable weekend shifts. All candidates must be comfortable working on-site at a correctional facility with regular inmate contact.
Salary: $17-18/hourly with benefits.
