Work schedule is full-time, 40 hours weekly with 4:00 AM–12:00 PM or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM shifts; telework is not available. Starting salary for new hires is $49,010 per year.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service in institutional or large-scale operations.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training acceptable.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Food Instruction: teach inmates proper techniques for food preparation, cooking, and baking.
• Sanitation Oversight: maintain safe and clean kitchen conditions by enforcing sanitation standards.
• Inventory Control: manage ordering, receiving, storing, and rotation of food and supplies.
• Work Assignment Review: evaluate inmate performance and maintain worker records.
• Safety Compliance: observe inmate activities and enforce custody and control procedures.
