Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
• Possess or be eligible to apply for a State of Florida Educator's Certificate.
• Non-certified applicants must obtain a temporary State of Florida Educator’s Certificate within 12 months of hire.
• State of Florida Educator’s Professional Certificate must be obtained prior to certificate expiration.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and conduct classes in assigned subjects for inmates.
• Supervise inmates in class; conduct rolls, counts, and attendance records.
• Maintain order; evaluate progress and administer grades/tests.
• Counsel and advise individuals on program progress and behavior.
