Qualifikationen

• Provide MSCTS testing proof (EMPCO & LCOPAT) at interview or the applicant’s expense.
• Recent separation within 24 months from a Michigan County Sheriff’s Office.
• No felony convictions; some misdemeanors reviewed case-by-case.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record.
• Pass employment physical and complete one-year probation.

• Maintain security and custody of inmates within jail and satellite facilities.
• Enforce procedures and regulations to ensure safe operations.
• Screen visitors, issue passes, and enforce visitation rules.
• Transport inmates to/from courts, police departments, medical facilities, and other locations.
• Monitor inmates during court appearances, hospital stays, or medical visits.
• Physically restrain individuals when necessary to maintain safety.
• Work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, midnights, or special assignments).
• Use Countywide and department-specific software to document and complete assignments.
