Job summary
The Bureau of Prisons is seeking a Dental Officer to provide a full range of dental services within a federal correctional facility. You will diagnose and treat complex dental problems, deliver comprehensive care to an inmate population, and assist in coordinating the dental program and quality control measures to meet ADA, NBDE, and Dental Service standards.
Applicants must hold a DMD or DDS from an ADA/CODA-accredited program, possess a valid U.S.
Qualifications
- DMD or DDS degree from an ADA/CODA-accredited program.
- Current, full, and unrestricted dentistry license in a U.S. state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or territory.
- NBDE completion and official transcripts uploaded electronically before start.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a range of dental conditions in a correctional environment.
- Provide comprehensive dental care to inmates, including management of difficult cases.
- Coordinate and input on dental program operations and procedures.
